OUR MISSION :
The Nevada County ReStore is a thrift store for building materials and supplies open to the general public in western Nevada County . The ReStore sells donated used or surplus building materials and supplies at a discounted rate.

At the ReStore, We Build Community:

  • By Building homes: to help provide a long-term sustainable revenue stream for the Nevada County Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity;
  • By Providing Materials to the Public for Affordable Re-Use: to make those building materials available to homeowners at a reasonable price enabling them to repair and maintain their homes;
  • By Saving Valuable Resources: assist in the creating a sustainable environment by providing an outlet for reusable building materials otherwise destined for the Nevada County transfer station;
  • By Developing Volunteers: Daily operations provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups.

Material donations may be delivered to the ReStore during our regular business hours or by appointment by calling 274-3761. You may also call about our pick up service.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Habitat ReStore could not exist without the help of volunteers! Volunteers are needed in a variety of work areas: Warehouse and merchandising; Sales and customer assistance; Material pickup; Office help.
